Red Dead Redemption Reviews
Although the sluggish gameplay and unresponsive action have always been open to question, with the right mindset, it’s possible to adapt to its crap-factor. It’s worth acclimating to them because Red Dead Redemption is more than the sum of its parts.
After 14 years of its initial release on consoles, Red Dead Redemption has finally arrived on PC, and it's still relevant! And if it weren't for Red Dead Redemption 2, it would have been the best Western Action Adventure experience on the market. That's how good RDR was and still is, and that's how any developer should design their games.

Even after 14 years, Red Dead Redemption remains a good example of how to do a proper Western in video game form. The main adventure is more focused than the sequel due to the relatively smaller cast and scope of your travels, but there are also plenty of side-quests that make it worthwhile to divert from the main questline. Undead Nightmare remains one of the better zombie games out there, and it still feels distinct after all these years. You just wish that there was more work done to the graphics outside of adding HDR and upping the brightness, especially since they're charging $50 for a 14-year-old port. The game is still worth adding to your library, but you might want to wait for a very good discount.
This cult western has long been absent from the PC, although its sequel was released a few years ago. Rockstar has finally released it on this platform, but with outdated graphics and a high price tag.

Despite its gameplay flaws, Red Dead Redemption is a classic on seventh gen consoles. Its well-crafted characters and script are among the era's best. It's a technological marvel with meticulous attention to detail. While the gameplay may require adaptation on the player's part, it's worth it because Red Dead Redemption's overall experience is greater than the sum of its individual parts.
Its impeccable remastering is an excellent excuse for those who wish to enjoy this wonderful, imposing and unforgettable adventure in its next-gen version for PlayStation 5, portable on Nintendo Switch or backward-compatible on Xbox Series X / S. As well as a first approach to those who did not enjoy his original work and wish to expand the powerful narrative experience that occurred after 'Red Dead Redemption 2'.

Although not the version expected by many players, Red Dead Redemption shows strength as one of the best games of all time. The 2023 version is the most stable option, but it could be much better.

Red Dead Redemption is a game marked by an excellent narrative and sensational dialogues (the introductory scene is a show in itself). However, the somewhat high price tag may put off curious people, after all, it is a 2010 title and it is neither The Legend of Zelda nor Mario, to encourage owners of Nintendo's console to pay full price for it. But, for everything that Red Dead Redemption was and continues to be, if you do, you won't regret it. The title is a great addition to the excellent catalog of games on the phenomenon called Nintendo Switch.

It only took 14 years, but Red Dead Redemption is finally out on PC. While the heady mix of Sam Peckinpah, Clint Eastwood, and Blood Meridian is still superlative in places, time hasn't treated all aspects of Rockstar's great western kindly. This one might be for completionists only.

Looking at the big picture, Red Dead Redemption has received a high-quality PC port that, aside from its steep price, leaves little to criticize. The game remains engaging and is well worth trying if you’ve never experienced this title on a console before.

At first glance, the 50 euros charged for the PC port of Red Dead Redemption is a hefty price for a 14-year-old game that only offers a few visual and technical improvements over the original version. If you don't know the original, you should definitely pick it up - Red Dead Redemption is an absolute highlight of gaming history that still entertains today with its gripping story, unusual characters and inimitable humor. The atmosphere that the game introduces into the virtual western world is incomparable and even if the technology has fallen behind current standards, the experience still manages to captivate the player. So if you have a soft spot for well-told, atmospheric open-world games, you will definitely get your money's worth here. For those who have already played the game on the console, however, the purchase is less recommendable. The improvements in the PC version, such as the higher resolution and smoother performance, only justify the price for a few. However, if you have never experienced the vastness of the Wild West in Red Dead Redemption, then there is hardly a better time to catch up. The Undead Nightmare expansion also brings a breath of fresh air to the game and provides additional hours of entertaining adventures. In this respect, the price for newcomers is entirely justified, as this is a classic that still knows how to impress.

Red Dead Redemption has certainly aged like a fine wine, still retaining its satisfying gameplay and an enormous, gorgeous wild west to explore.
Red Dead Redemption for PC is a golden opportunity to relive one of gaming's greatest classics. Its powerful narrative, engaging gameplay, and vibrant Wild West world continue to captivate, even 14 years after its original release.

Red Dead Redemption, many years later, is still a wonder to play and explore. Despite making zero changes to its gameplay, apart from the much appreciated inclusion of the Undead Nightmare DLC, Rockstar successfully manages to bring back the good old memories of this exceptional game thanks to a very stable port, giving everyone the chance to experience the tale of John Marston.

Red Dead Redemption is a masterpiece of the open world genre that combines deep storytelling with an immersive, detailed world. The game not only offers an experience rich in action and adventure but also a strong reflection on the choices we make and their consequences. A title that I recommend to all players, and a clear milestone in the development of modern games. The sequel (which is actually a prequel) Red Dead Redemption 2 is an excellent example of this evolution. Play!

Red Dead Redemption on Steam is an experience that lives up to expectations for many years. Surpassing expectations of its original PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, to be the definitive edition of the game.

Red Dead Redemption on PC is the best edition of John Marston's adventures one can play. In terms of music and story — excellent, graphically it falls short compared to modern titles, but in terms of gameplay, it remains exceptionally enjoyable. It's a brilliant western, causing both bursts of laughter and tears, while also skillfully addressing many issues like racism, immigration, and human rights. A beautiful, personal story in the Wild West that's slowly getting more civilized.

Red Dead Redemption is an amazing experience and is one of those games that defined a generation of open-world titles where movie-level storytelling weaved into the action you got to control. If you’ve already played it, you won’t miss anything, but if you were looking for an excuse to see what the hype was all about, wait for a sale first.
