Sumerian Six Reviews
Whilst Mimimi Games might be sadly gone, real-time tactics lovers shouldn't fear as Artificer Games are here to continue their legacy. Not only a brilliant console conversion, Sumerian Six is a thrillingly inventive real-time strategy game in its own right, one that encapsulates much of what made Shadow Tactics, Desperados 3, and Shadow Gambit so great, though this time with the added fun of mauling Nazis.
Imitation is the foundation for something quite special.
A colorful, bizarre, uchronic stealth game where combining the formidable skills of the Enigma Squad in real time is more satisfying than operating from the shadows.

Made so much better now that I can play it on my Xbox. Artificer has crafted an enjoyable game that blends the occult and science in an interesting story AND lets you knock out some Nazis, what’s not to love here?
Daring missions with all odds stacked against us, that's the exciting essence of Sumerian Six. The deveolper Artificer is not quite yet at the level of quality Mimimi Games got us used to, but I can already see a lot of good in this game.

Sumerian Six fills a very niche hole that few developers have capitalized on. Its six characters and complex maps give players a wealth of options to creatively take out power-hungry Nazis, where careful planning is the best reward.
Sumerian Six will more than suffice in filling the tactics-shaped hole you may have in your heart. Though its story isn't all there and it's far from original, it's made up for with an electric cast with devastating and creative abilities. This sandbox nature of killing in inventive ways is only bolstered by intricate and smart level design that allows for many a cool Nazi-slaying moment. Artificer have pulled off the difficult mission of replicating the giants that came before them while showcasing enough of their own creative juices. Job well done.
While frayed on more than a couple edges, Sumerian Six still manages to deliver a brilliant strategy experience that nails that oh-so endangered feeling of micro-managerial mayhem.
I absolutely love the thoughtful pacing of Sumerian Six. Weighing up every movement and action, knowing that one wrong step could mean the end of your life and the level, is thrilling.
This game is like an oasis for someone who likes real-time tactical strategy. I hope Artificer will continue to carry this flag that he took over from Mimimi for a long time.

Sumerian Six almost perfectly emulates the games from Mimimi, offering a satisfying covert strategy experience that involves weaving through patrols, dissolving bodies, and scaring Nazis to death.
There's a lot packed in to Sumerian Six and it's a great game if you're looking for some laughs as you sneak around taking out nogoodniks. 🎖️
Even in its console debut, Sumerian Six has proven itself to be an excellent representative of a highly niche genre. A real-time stealth strategy game from Artificer, inspired by the legacy of Mimimi Games, it plunges players into an alternate-history World War II setting to lead a team of scientists with supernatural powers against the forces of the Third Reich. Thanks to excellent level design and engaging abilities, the experience is solid and genuinely fun despite an AI that isn’t quite polished and a balance that can be disorienting at times. And besides, who hasn’t dreamed of defeating the Nazis with a werebear?

As slow-paced Sumerian Six can be at times, it’s by design, as you must often stop and think about how you may approach each scenario. The gameplay is satisfying, and the narrative has you hooked, especially if you are a sci-fi and history buff. While there might be some very minor hiccups, they are rare and far between and do not take away from the Nazi ass-kicking fun.
Like I mentioned this one was not on my radar, no pun intended, and I was pleasantly surprised. A few glitches with the enemies soured the experience a little but not enough for me to not recommend the game still. Even as someone who doesn't gravitate to stealth games, this one was successful in integrating a system simple enough to pick up and swap between characters easily and make you feel satisfied clearing an area whether by yourself or through an automated, planned team effort. It has a thorough save system to boot which absolutely helped make the game more enjoyable with my trial and error. For sure, I recommend it as a really solid game.
Sumerian Six is perfect for short bursts of play, but it’s not a game you'll likely want to binge. It boasts solid visuals, a great soundtrack, and a meticulously designed gameplay loop centered on synergy and strategy. However, with so much to tackle in each mission, you might find yourself fatigued long before reaching the end of its somewhat meandering story—assuming you don’t get soft-locked along the way.
Sumerian Six, with its blend of classic controls and innovative mechanics, offers one of the most exciting and engaging isometric stealth experiences. The complex level design, various challenges, and dynamic environments force you to think and make choices.
