There are pockets of joy and engagement in Fallen Order, but ultimately it feels like a game developed a long time ago, before Star Wars moved on to brighter galaxies far, far away from this.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order delivers a magnificent Star Wars experience that lives up to so many expectations, and then some. The marvelous blend and execution of platforming, challenging combat, and developed characters woven into a singular adventure is simply mesmerizing.

Since the reboot of the Star Wars Battlefront series fans has been yearning for a solid Star Wars game. One not plagued with over monetization or lackluster features. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is that game. It's an exceptional and challenging adventure that does this acclaimed series justice. Small problems like recycled boss fights and lack of direction do hamper the experience. But given this is Respawn Entertainment's first attempt at an adventure game after making multiple first-person shooters show this studio can deliver more than great shooters. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the Star Wars game fans have been waiting for.

Jedi: Fallen Order is guilty of borrowing loads of already established gameplay elements from other titles, but blends them together almost seamlessly. It gets accompanied with an intruiging story and colourful characters, making it the game Star Wars fans were yearning for. If only they left out those pesky sliding passages...

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the best single-player adventure that I have played in a very long time. The brilliant narrative that Respawn has created in the Star Wars universe is paired with excellent gameplay mechanics and level design.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order suffers from some annoying pacing issues, but the attention to detail and fundamentally solid gameplay makes it the best Star Wars game in over a decade.

The game may have some clunky moments where the combat just feels unpolished and Cal’s jumping is a bit off, but this can all be forgiven when you realize this is the story-driven Star Wars game we have been asking for.

Jedi Fallen Order ise one of the best Star Wars games. Lightsaber mechanics and graphics are very eye-catching. Also story telling is not bad. But platform mechanics may be better.

Jedi: Fallen Order wasn’t dull or lackluster, there were big surprises that pushed me back from my seat, tons of memorable moments, the combat was definitely fulfilling, and it stayed loyal to its source material. While it’s not a technical marvel, I’ve never had this level of fun in any video game this year and I’m certainly glad that Respawn Entertainment delivered one of the greatest Star Wars games in history.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the equivalent of Rey and Finn discussing Han Solo in The Force Awakens. Two people with different ideas and stories about who he is. Fallen Order is a very mixed bag of ideas seemingly pulled from various members at Respawn Entertainment that have completely different ideas about what makes a good Jedi game and unable to settle on a singular and unique vision.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a dream come true and the best Star Wars game of this decade. Even if that, because of the weak competition, doesn't mean much, Respawn Entertainment's title can hold its own against the very best games from the Star Wars universe.

For all of the delightful combat, fun puzzles, and great narrative moments, Fallen Order is still marred by derivative action, frustrating navigation, and technical issues that prevent it from taking its place alongside Jedi Outcast and Knights of the Old Republic as one of the all-time great Star Wars games.

Fallen Order is a game with intricate and satisfying combat – some of the best we've ever seen in a Star Wars game. But Respawn relies on that as a selling point, and focuses less on creating a polished experience.

While wielding a lightsaber is immediately gratifying on a base level, the rest of the experience is hot and cold.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is easily one of the best Star Wars game that ever released. It takes inspiration from games such as Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, and some might even add Castlevania to that list. Instead of just copying some key features, Respawn Entertainment really made it their own. This isn't just an adventure game with a Star Wars skin, it's a Star Wars game that easily combines some of the most impressive gameplay mechanics into one game. It's a no-brainer if you're a fan of the Star Wars universe and even if you're not, it's one of the best action-adventure games of this year, it's certainly worth trying!

It strikes a nice balance between games like Dark Souls and Tomb Raider by implementing Star Wars elements to make the mechanics it’s own. If not for the occasionally bugged out enemy, slow texture loads, and lack of colorblind options, I would say it is near perfect.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is a great example of what a solid game developer, time, passion, and virtual hands-off by EA can do for a Star Wars game. No hidden charges, no bullshit micro-transactions or loot box rubbish -- just a solid game that entertains and rewards a player for playing it. Top quality!

If you are getting the idea that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a great Star Wars game, then you’re on the right track, and I believe that Respawn (and EA) is too. There is so much great about this game that it can be easy to overlook its obvious flaws: graphical errors and glitches, a static and sometimes flawed combat system, unrewarding collectibles, and lacking RPG elements being chief amongst those complaints. A full play through of the campaign took me just over 12 hours – a span that told a cohesive story with impressive components, but in the end nearly overstayed its welcome and resulted in a game that felt to me rather one-note. Jedi: Fallen Order feels like a great base game that Respawn can build upon to make deeper, richer, and more stable sequels that fully explore the powers of a Jedi while polishing the individual elements borrowed from each different genre.
