In the end, Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? fails to deliver satisfying combat, falls short of being a rewarding dungeon crawler, and tells the story in a fatally cumbersome way that just isn't engaging. You'll be better off just watching the anime again.

In particular, quests with strict time limits can often feel unfair, and grinding out tasks purely to improve your relationship with different characters is a slog.

If you've been curious about the property, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? - Infinite Combate is a good way to get involved, as it allows you to explore the first season of the anime and some supplementary material in an enjoyably interactive manner. Series veterans will also appreciate the opportunity to "date" their favourite characters in the Extra mode as both Bell and Ais, and the array of beautiful artwork and fun events to unlock provides good incentive for continued engagement — as does the progression system, which only really shows its depth once you've cleared the story. It's just a bit of a shame the game feels like it was developed on the cheap; it's likely some will find the simplistic dungeon graphics in particular somewhat off-putting. If you can look past that, though, this is a good adaptation of a well-loved series, with plenty of content to keep you busy in the long term.

There really isn't much more to say about Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Familia Myth Infinite Combate. It really feels like the intent was to make the simplest thing that might appeal to fans and that is unfortunate. Everything feels rushed, simple, or dated that it's hard to find a redeeming point. Sure, combat isn't the worst but there are games out there that do most aspects of Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Familia Myth Infinite Combate better or at least have more to offer.

Infinite Combate is a game for the fans, and only the fans. If you enjoyed the source material then you may have some fun playing through it. But as a videogame, as anything other than a branded piece of merch, it falls flat on its face. It’s an unfun, unfunny, unplayable mess that would rather pander to the male gaze than play well.

The game should have been made entirely as a graphic novel. Or had a higher budget to improve the dungeon sections.

For a developer that has created over 50 games, the game feels like it was put together quickly to meet fan demands.

It's neither the perfect dungeon crawler nor the most stand-out visual novel, however, the blend of the two, coupled with the strong anime license leveraged with the greatest of competencies, still make this one a very solid time-filler.

Despite having clear limitations, Is It Wrong To Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon – Infinite Combate is a fun game that explores the first season of the anime and one of its spinoffs in a very interesting way. The title serves as a good introduction for beginners, as well as having plenty of extra content that should please longtime fans. It is a pity that the low budget restricts how good the game could be due to its mechanics.

Is it Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon: Infinite Combat retells the anime well, but it stumbles in a few other areas.

An utter disappointment, for fans and newcomers alike. For the newcomers, this is more likely to dissuade potential interest in a series that is so much better than this. For fans of the series, this not only does not do any of the adaptations - be it light novel, manga, or anime - justice, but it is a terrible adaptation. Low quality. Low budget. Just embarrassing, especially considering how long this has been in production. It's hard to think of anyone to recommend this for. It's flawed and forgettable in every way.

Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon – Infinite Combate is not a game I’d generally recommend. There was a lot of frustration. I found myself disappointed. With that said, as a fan of the anime series, there were certainly points I enjoyed, mostly around seeing the story again and talking to the characters. Some of the customization and extra content in the post-game helped to redeem it too.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Infinite Combat is a game with a pretty simple combat, but it works, although the design of the dungeons is quite repetitive. Outside of this, we have many dialogues, which depending on your own taste may be excessive, but help to understand everything perfectly. The biggest problem is that they are in English. Apart from that, it is a good game, so addictive, although it is not especially long.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Familia Myth: Infinite Combate is an enjoyable dungeon crawling visual novel with an end game that’s longer than the main story! Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of the simple combat and limited amount of customisation, I found the story very enjoyable and the bonus dating and ‘sexual’ events very entertaining. I imagine fans of the franchise will enjoy experiencing these events more, as they’re unique to the game, but you will have to play through the entire story before they’re unlocked. The gameplay does get a little monotonous and spike in difficulty, but I never got bored thanks to the visual novel-like narrative holding it all together.

I liked the anime very much but the game hardly reminds me of the feeling and atmosphere of said anime. The battles are the highlight of the game but overall it belongs more into the Nintendo DS era than on the Nintendo Switch.

Danmachi Infinite Combate is sadly not a good experience for fans or newcomers. It fails on both its visual novel and gameplay offerings with strange design choices and uninspired execution. Post-game offerings aren’t enough to warrant getting through this mobile-like game brought to console. Still, that may not stop the most diehard Hestia fans from enjoying some aspects of it.

This isn’t a terrible game. If you’re a fan of the series and really eager to have more of it, it’ll probably serve decently for those purposes, but that’ll still mean overlooking things like weak translation, poor mechanics, and a slipshod feel across the board. But if you aren’t already a fan, there’s little to nothing to recommend it to you, much less to inspire you to learn more.
