qomp2 Reviews
qomp 2 is an excellent and worthy reimaging of Pong that honours the classic arcade game's legacy while providing a unique experience for folks with no nostalgia for Atari's seminal masterpiece. It offers a consistently interesting and engaging means of traversal with a great variety of obstacles and puzzles to overcome throughout the 30 stages. We would have liked a few more levels in the end, but this is really just an indication of the quality on display here. If you're into quirky action-focused puzzlers with a unique hook, then qomp 2 is definitely worth your attention.
qomp2 is a delightful retro romp that answers all the questions you ever had about the Pong ball, and is packed full of creative mechanics.
If anything, I’m grateful to qomp2 for introducing me to the concept, and eventually to experiencing the first qomp. I can see why that game hit the way it did, and inspired Atari to pick it up and try its own version. It’s a cool subversion of one of gaming’s oldest-standing innovators. But it feels shortsighted to hand the project off to a different set of hands, when the first set is the one that made the magic happen in the first place. And there’s genuine effort here, but the vibes are off, man.
Qomp2 is a wonderful puzzler that is packed with innovation. It’s a refreshing twist on a beloved classic and serves up unexpected elements from start to finish. With bosses, switches and much more, this game of patience and skills is a blast. While it’s only a short ride and lacks real replay value, each bounce is a joy due to its sleek design and intuitive gameplay. I truly hope that this sparks a new wave of spiritual sequels, rejuvenating iconic Atari titles, much like what this game accomplishes for Pong.
Overall, qomp2 is simple yet thought-provoking. It's challenging but not unforgiving. With its smooth controls and accessibility options, you can play this game however you want.
qomp2 is an interesting title that certainly isn't for everyone. The limited controls make for an equally frustrating yet rewarding experience once you master the mechanics. The difficulty starts off fine, but the quick ramp-up will throw people off guard. The infinite lives, generous checkpoints, and some of the more helpful options help mitigate the ramp-up, but don't be surprised if you get stumped often. If you have a high level of patience and a love for unusual concepts and controls, you're the perfect candidate to enjoy the qomp2 experience.
Despite its minor flaws, qomp2 is a really addictive game that you'll find hard to put down. Even its difficulty won't put you off, and you'll happily endure the few hundred deaths and restarts from the last checkpoint. Yes, it will frustrate you at times, but rarely will you feel that it's being unfair to you.

qomp2 is truly a remarkable follow-up to its predecessor, despite being so short in length. This game is like a never-ending present, constantly surprising players with its secrets, collectibles, and challenging puzzles at every turn. The inclusion of bosses is an unexpected and fantastic addition, serving as the ultimate test of your skills and knowledge acquired throughout each chapter. Whether you’re a fan of action puzzles or simply seeking a game with a satisfying level of difficulty, I’d highly recommend qomp2.
Bouncing a ball off paddles, through corridors, and around danger makes for a two or three-hour runtime that doesn't overstay its welcome and manages to hold your attention throughout. There's a familiarity to the proceedings that's deceptively comfortable, and therein lies qomp2's greatest trick: it feels like something you've played, but you haven't. And while I don't have a problem with going back to Pong for a few rounds, I was happy to invest significantly more time than that in this oddly-named psuedo-sequel.
qomp2's peculiar movement scheme is, at the same time, its biggest differentiator as a puzzle and platformer, but also a possible source of frustration. With coherent mechanics, but little varied visuals and a creative potential that is not explored as it could be, it is a title that will please lovers of the genre while it lasts, as long as they do not expect something striking or surprising.

qomp2 is so maddeningly difficult that its main campaign feels like it should be some sort of extra-hard bonus mode. It's still fun, though.
Qomp2 is a genuine and creative reinterpretation of a foundational title in the gaming industry. Challenging and at times frustrating, it delivers surprising sensations and twists, offering variable longevity based on your reflexes and strategic skills.

If you enjoy being tested without a complex storyline, then Qomp2 could be for you. The basic puzzles and layers of difficulty keep you coming back for more. Additionally, the boss levels add some unique elements to prevent things from becoming stale. As such, I enjoyed it and I recommend buying it here! Can you leave the paddles behind? Break free, avoid obstacles, and complete every level.
qomp2 is such a pleasurable adventure that it leaves you wanting more. If the game has a flaw, it's perhaps the lack of content: 30 super quick levels to beat and achievements to unlock, but that's it.

I did not enjoy my time with qomp2. I found it to be boring, frustrating and not very fun overall.
What qomp2 offers players is a range of well-structured challenges that manage to deliver a lot with little. Even though it ends quickly, it's the kind of adventure that's worth every second invested.

Qomp2 embraces the spirit of 90s arcade gaming, blending familiar elements with innovative gameplay. Despite the Pong-inspired marketing, the game evolves into a challenging puzzle platformer that stands on its own merits. With its clever level design, challenging bosses, and a soundtrack that harks back to the golden age of gaming, Qomp2 is a game for those seeking a nostalgic yet fresh gaming experience but isn’t a game that’s even close to being worth its price tag of $19.99 USD ($25.99 CAD), as is a game that should have been exclusive to just the Atari VCS where it feels the game truly belongs and can have its moment of fame and not get lost in the sea of better titles for the price.
qomp2 is a pretty good puzzle adventure. The simple controls certainly make for an enjoyable experience that puzzle fans will enjoy in small bursts, maybe after a long day at work or before bed. I’ll be honest: the gameplay didn’t fully click for me. I often found it frustrating to get my ball to head just the right way, and while the gameplay has that Zen-like feel to it, I found the quick deaths quite frustrating towards the end of the game. I did, however, like the reworking of the Pong formula and creating an entire game from the simple concept of a ball escaping. All in all, Qomp2 is a unique puzzler, and any game that attempts something original is good in my book.
Qomp2 is a fun challenge while it lasts. It’s a game all about a tough, borderline unfair, but ultimately rewarding gameplay loop. You will shout at it, you will want to break your controller in half, but you won’t want to give up that easily. I don’t exactly feel like the game captivated me enough to want to replay its levels and collect its (very few) secret items, nor do I feel like it’s worthy of a second playthrough for the sake of it, but it’s not a bad time while it lasts.
