While not reinventing the wheel, RotSP does offer hours of nonstop adventuring fun. Being able to play in Co-op with friends also is a special treat. Simple enough to pick up and play, also easy enough to play with kids.

Revenge of the Savage Planet is a confident sequel that expands on the original game in all the right ways. Its five densely packed planets are a joy to uncover, more importantly, invite exploration in all the right ways. While the humour is a bit hit or miss and I will personally always miss the first-person, Metroid Prime-like gameplay, some strong level design and a satisfying loop of exploration makes Revenge of the Savage Planet a strong but quirky debut for Raccoon Logic.

Revenge of the Savage Planet offers cooperative fun in an alien environment worth exploring. A varied gameplay experience propels you around a dynamic world of wonder, amplified by vibrant visuals and punchy audio. Let down somewhat by its comedic tone and unpolished approach, this title falls short of its full potential but still finds ways to surprise and delight along the way.

Revenge of the Savage Planet is a self-assured sequel that successfully builds on what was started in the original game, making smart adjustments to structure and game feel while honing in on the satire. Not all of it is a success, but it's a great little romp that doesn't ask for too much of your time or brainpower to make its point.

Light, fun e nonsense, Revenge of the Savage Planet recaptures all the colorful exuberance of the visuals seen in the previous game, bringing it to full power. At the same time, it maintains the acid tone about corporatism in a three-dimensional metroidvania progression model, delivering a balanced, agile and practical gameplay system.

In the end, Revenge of the Savage Planet is a good follow-up to Journey to the Savage Planet. The concept of exploring new, absurd worlds remains novel, while the expanded tool set and mobility tweaks strengthen the gameplay. The worlds are large and packed with loads to discover, and the game offers up a good amount to do even after you've seen the credits for the first time. For those who love exploring, Revenge of the Savage Planet is well worth checking out.

An irreverent, colorful and intelligent space adventure, which confirms Raccoon Logic's talent in telling absurd worlds that, deep down, are all too similar to our own. It's not perfect, but it's fun.

After our first foray into the Savage Planet, Revenge of the Savage Planet ups the ante with a more ambitious and well-rounded game offer. A 100-year journey that culminates in the exploration of an entire abandoned solar system at the hand of a large corporation. Its 3D metroidvania proposal includes platforms, combat, exploration and a large number of puzzles and collectibles that will help us achieve the desired ending... or succumb in the attempt. All this wrapped in a hooligan and irreverent humor that sometimes goes too far in its intention to criticize the world in which we live and in which we could live.

If you took the journey five years ago to Journey to the Savage Planet, you'll want to book a trip to Revenge of the Savage Planet as well. Marmite humour and low-key exploration pleasures aside, Revenge of the Savage Planet is a good and enjoyable time that allows you to scan to your heart's content and mosey through unknown landscapes to complete objectives and challenges en route to your ultimate revenge. Revenge of the Savage Planet won't take up much of your time either, but just know that this brand of revenge is a dish served with a slice of weirdness and a platter of squirt burgers—meaning you should just go and have fun for a while.

Revenge of the Savage Planet invites you to explore and conveys a wonderfully crazy and satirical world. The change of perspective compared to its predecessor and the many collectibles, the gadgets and the possibility of experiencing all this in co-op make the title a successful excursion to other planets.
