Just Cause 4 lives in the mystique of a simulation that is concurrently shattering apart and performing as designed. Agency and Chaos are rival gods condensed into a single protagonist who uses the world's most outrageous toolbox to violently and preposterously address its most rote objectives. Limitations are explosive fuel for superpowers, somehow balancing the equation that allows Just Cause 4 to make sense.

While it misses some of the best features from its predecessors, Just Cause 4 is a captivatingly fun experience, with enough new mechanics to be a staple for action fans.

In spite of trotting out a premise that's been done to death, Just Cause 4 remains fresh thanks to its creative gameplay features and varied missions. With explosions aplenty and stunning visuals, there's little amiss with this over the top entry in the series

In many occasions we usually consider that good results are achieved by adding; bigger, more impactful, more showy, more noisy. However, at no time and under any circumstances is it assured that this is so and in Just Cause 4 this results in its greatest virtue and its greatest weakness. We have a huge open world, but with a mission design exploited to exhaustion for more than 10 years by countless titles. We have a freedom of action that allow us to overcome the enemy, but without defined limits that allow us to overcome even the game itself. Despite the improvements and implementations of this fourth installment, the final result tells us that it is not more, nor less than its predecessor and that, without a doubt, was an untapped opportunity. Even so, Just Cause 4 does not represent a setback or a bad delivery in the terms of the franchise and if you are a fan of the adventures of Rico Rodriguez, you will not be disappointed after making the revolution succeed in Solis.

Just Cause 4‘s villains never have enough screen-time to warrant their position of power or revenge, but this game is the equivalent of a popcorn flick for video games. It’s as ridiculous as the series gets, where the bad guys are trying to control the weather (the weather!), and Rico is the perfect person to remove them from power. Just Cause 4 is at its best when it isn’t too serious, and focuses on the fun and silly – which this game has in spades. Just Cause 4 is a great ride from start to finish.

Just Cause 4 is the perfect example of what Just Cause is. The action is over-the-top and amazing, but the story is really thin and missions get repetitive. If you love the explosive gameplay however, you are set for a perfect vacation.

Just Cause 4 is a slightly better version of Just Cause 3's destruction-fueled action, but lacks a big new idea to give it an identity of its own.

Just Cause 4 doesn’t make a lot of changes to the core gameplay of the series, but then again it doesn’t have to. It does make some welcome tweaks and additions, most notably to the grappling hook. The fourth installment in the series may not be as visually appealing as other titles in 2018, but it’s just as explosive and entertaining as ever.

The gameplay of Just Cause 4 is always the same with the inevitable grapple and a rich arsenal that will allow you to indulge in a gunplay that always has a certain solidity.

Just Cause 4 is by far the best and most complete game in the series. Improved graphics, vast world and new gears, are all helping to deliver an amazing and enjoyable experience. On the other hand, Just Cause 4 suffers from numerous technical issues, Lack of creativity in level design, shallow story and incomplete gun-play. Still If you are fan of the series and pure action in video games, Just Cause 4 is one of those games that delivers a simple, enjoyable gameplay with many ways to create pure action and explode your mind!

Just Cause 4 isn’t new. But it does what it does well. If you’re a fan of the first, second or third you will have just as much fun with the fourth.

In Just Cause 4 you will have fun making things explode and exploring the map in the most different ways, but don't expect a great depth of play.

We finish this 2018 in style with the last triple A of the year. Rico returns to the top in a title full of action that will not disappoint fans of the saga and that will delight users looking for a sandbox full of explosions and shootings.

Just Cause 4 is an enjoyable ride with a memorable and exciting campaign, full of thrilling gameplay moments. However, the rest of the game is a compilation of outdated mission design and poor technical performance. My advice: stick to the campaign for a fun fifteen hours and forget about everything else.

Just Cause 4 is a really engrossing game that makes you want to goof around. The amount of new toys will decide about the longevity of this game – players can unlock A LOT of them during their progress with the main storyline. Unfortunately, it also means that gamers have to complete a dozen of repetitive tasks. Despite that, it’s still worth it.

Overall, Just Cause 4 is a fun game. I’ve enjoyed my time with it, but I can’t justify it at full price given that it displays a lot of noticeable inconsistency and that it feels like it’s toyed with new ideas, but ultimately failed to carve its own identity out of the franchise.

Still delivers the series' sandbox mayhem, but is underserved by some pretty dated systems.

Just Cause 4 is a success at the same things that made great the third game, but a failure when tries to improve its narrative, variety o polish. Finally a fun game in short bursts but not much else.
